Grey Eyes (2017)

Randomly saw that a Tricia Walsh on Quora lamented that nobody wrote songs about grey eyes. I decided to fix that. "Reminder to self: write a song about grey eyes for all the grey-eyed people who need their eyes immortalized too!"

The idea was March 10, I wrote the lyrics on March 21 in about half an hour.

Grey Eyes

You are a summer storm
Ozone on the wind
Clouds gather in your gaze
Card the wool of dreams and spin

Those grey eyes
Those grey eyes
Filled with magic, truth and lies
Oh how you weave a spell
With just grey eyes

You are the wintry ice
Freezing to the bone
Chill winds and skating rinks
Childhood laughter skipping home

Those grey eyes
Those grey eyes
Filled with magic, truth and lies
Oh how you weave a spell
With just grey eyes

Glass pools
Lose my thoughts
Looking into your soul
As I wonder
What mysteries you hold within

Those grey eyes
Those grey eyes
Filled with magic, truth and lies
Oh how you weave a spell
With just grey eyes

You are the light of stars
In the depths of night
The Milky Way poured on Earth
Dancing into love and sighs

Those grey eyes
Those grey eyes
Filled with magic, truth and lies
Oh how you weave a spell
With just grey eyes
